December in Venice

After the exceptional high water that hit Venice on November 12th, the city is back to normal: restaurants and cafes have reopened and, thanks to sunny days, it is a real pleasure to sit outside and sip a spritz eating cicchetti.

In this period there are many things to do, including exhibitions, concerts, markets and shows. But even just walking among the streets, fields and squares of Venice is an activity that is worthwhile, especially at this time of year, less frequented by tourists and more peaceful.

Among the exhibitions not to be missed we recommend Da Tiziano a Rubens, masterpieces from Antwerp and other Flemish collections displayed in the evocative setting of the Palazzo Ducale in Piazza San Marco.

Then, for music lovers there is the Great concert of the Immaculate Conception, which will take place in the splendid Basilica of San Giovanni e Paolo and whose proceeds (the offer is free) will be entirely donated to an association that helps refugees Syrians and South Sudan.

Buona visita a Venezia
